World Series of Poker Face

You may not know this, but the World Series of Poker is going on right now in Las Vegas. It won't be shown on TV until the fall. For poker players, this is the Mecca and of course...

...this is the Holy Grail! This is what it's all about. Of course, if you win one of these, 6 or 7 figure paydays are the norm, but it's all about the hardware. My morning partner Kim thinks this is gaudy, she of the "eclectic" wardrobe, so her opinion isn't valid. This tells everyone that you out-thought, out-lasted, out-witted, out-lucked and out-played hundreds, if not thousands, of other players.

I will be in Las Vegas for the last week of the Main Event of the Series. There are 57 different events that range in entry fee price from $1500 to $50,000. Needless to say the only events that I have played, or plan to play, are at the bottom end of the scale. I go out there to gawk at celebrity poker players like Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Tobey MacGuire, Jason Alexander, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon...

Not only the poker brings me to Vegas. I absolutely LOVE The Bellagio. It is the most beautiful hotel I have ever visited and feel like I couldn't stay anywhere else. You feel like a rockstar walking in there and the service, food, and atmosphere just SCREAMS Las Vegas.

If you go, check out Olives on Via Bellagio which is the walk between The Bellagio and Caesar's Palace. If you like mushrooms, you MUST try the Wild Mushroom flatbread. It's SICK! That's a good thing.

I plan on trying a new restaurant this trip and I will be giving a review when I get back!
